Taylor Funk
BA Deaf Studies- Interpreting Emphasis Candidate

About Me

I happened upon American Sign Language, by accident. I needed to fill a class my Junior year of high school, and ASL seemed interesting enough. From the minute I started learning the language, and learning about Deaf culture, I was fascinated. At first I didn't know about the different careers that ASL could lead to, and it wasn't until college that I realized I wanted to become an interpreter.
So, after seven years I have finally found my passion. I will be graduating Utah Valley University in 2019 with a Bachelors Degree in Deaf Studies with an emphasis in interpreting. I cannot wait to become a certified interpreter and working with people in the field both Deaf and hearing.
